Real smiles...

During my sessions I enjoy talking to my clients. I have a few questions tucked away that are guaranteed to generate a real smile. I am not going to share with you what I asked Quinlan to get these next few shots, that is between her and I...but I'm glad I asked because there is an extra twinkle in her eye!

Photobucket
We picked this little spot to take a few shots because there was some Queenanne's Lace growing there...Quinlan likes this flower because it is the only flower that starts with Q...cute!

I love the feel of these...

Here are a few more images of Quinlan's Senior Session! I love the feel of these. There is something about her outfit and the way she is posed that makes her look very studious and collegiate! I'm not sure what your plans are after High School Q, but you look the part to me if it includes going to college! The only thing these images are missing are a pair of eyeglasses and a big huge research book!

Busy weekend...

It was a super busy weekend for me in the photography catagory. The best part was I was able to still get my workouts in, enjoy a dinner out, spend some time with my husband and kids at the local county fair and see my family. It also helped that one of my sessions was family!

My nephew, Evan, is a Senior in High School this year...that seems so strange to say because I remember exactly were I was back in college when I got the call that he had been born!!! And now he is talking about were he wants to go to college!!

Evan, I had a GREAT time taking your pictures and you did a fantastic job! Like I said, we make a great team. Be sure to show these to your Mom and Dad and I will keep you posted as I put more up.

Quinlan...

Simply put this session was perfection! Quinlan and her Mom drove down from Portland and we were able to take some studio portraits and some outdoor shots. Who am I kidding, we took more than "some"...there are so many great ones! Quinlan you did a fantastic job of listening to me telling you how to sit and how to breath! ; ) Here are few of the last outfit change and the last little pocket of light that we found.

Quinlan, you are delightful and I wish you the best during your Senior year of High School.

Weeee.....

Sort of proud of the next five images. I really don't know how I managed to get the series of shots in focus. Still fun though!
Lisa and Curtis brought along this old sled and it ended up being a fun prop to use in some of the photos. By the way Lisa I will include this little sledding series on your disc.

What a good lookin' bunch!

This next was one of my favorites of this session. Mainly because if I was the Mom of these three it would tug at my heart strings! So handsome!

Let's Go!

One more family to share. This group of six was ready to rock and roll right when I got there. They were the first family to head out into the snow with me. We worked quickly because it was cold, but so pretty. Once again I have to say the kids were so good! I love all of their outfits! And how on earth can these kids be any cuter! And a great big THANKS to Kari for being kind enough to let me borrow her snow boots the entire day because I didn't think to bring snow appropriate shoes...you saved me!

The fellas.

And the Award goes to...

I am continuing to work on the large family session that I mentioned before. As I said Goldie and Gary have 10 children. Camille is their oldest. As I arrived at the location that we were going to take the pictures Camille greeted me first. I knew right away she was the oldest. She was so organized and helped me get everyone where they needed to be when they needed to be there...I kept teasing her the she was the C.E.O. of the group!

I also decided as I was preparing these images that Camille and her husband, Ian, have the most fantastic smiles...therefore they are the Smile Winners of this session!

Camille and Ian your kids were so fun to work with. Camille, I thought it was so cute that your oldest wanted you near by to make him laugh and to make him smile! I also love that no one was afraid to breakout the "potty humor" either...what can I say that is the best way to get a genuine smile sometimes.

This young lady doesn't need much help to flash a beautiful smile....very quick to smile and happy!

And last but not least the youngest! I did a post about this young man and somehow it got deleted but it was super nice to meet him!

Prepare yourself...

Be warned that I will be using words like adorable, well behaved and fun, in abundance over the next few posts. This is one of the families from the group session that I mentioned in the last post. I want to point out that it was approximately 22 degrees outside during out time together and the kids did fantastic! All of them were extremely well behaved and how could we not have fun exploring in the snow for good spots to take pictures.

More Family...

These folks, who happen to be another one of my brother and sister in-laws, contacted me about getting their family pictures taken and it was my pleasure. We met at the end of summer on their beautiful property. These two are just down right good people. Do you know what I mean? They want to do right by you and they want you to do right by them. And I love that!

Photobucket

And I happen to think that my sister in-law is one of the classiest women I know. She is just a blast to talk to and I have enjoyed every conversation. She is good people too! And did I mention GORGEOUS!

Photobucket
There is not a shortage of places to take a photo on their property. It is a photographers dream!

This is Jessie and she is such a sweetie. My kids adore her and love when she is around or we visit her. She is a cowgirl at heart but also knows her way around a soccer field quite well...GO JESSIE!
Photobucket
This young man is a senior this year. He is an athlete just like his sister. He loves playing with all the younger cousins at family gatherings...Adam you don't know how much Aunties appreciate that?
Photobucket
Drew is in college and was super nice to come and be part of the family photos. He had no problem coming up with some GQ poses for me. Thanks Drew!
Photobucket
One of my absolute favorite locations of the entire shoot happened quite organically. I was shooting Jessie and I turned around to see my neice Katia sitting in the grass and I told her to stay there. So perfect!
Photobucket

If you look closely at the next few images...they are all carrying guns...how cool is that! A first for me that is for sure. When Sandra and I set up the session she mentioned that she wanted some of the images to be processed this way. I hope you like them Sandra. Personally, I love them.
