It is with GREAT excitement that I share this information with you. I am making some changes to my photography business. I am going to be focusing an children's portraits. I have a studio in my home and will be offering sessions there. Don't fret, I will still be booking family and high school senior sessions in the summer months. However, on a limited bases.
This decision has been long time coming! I am so excited to have found the place in photography that makes my heart sing.
I have wanted to wait until I have absolutely every single duck in a row to make this announcement. However, if I do that it will never get announced.
Please, visit my new blog at www.juliashinklephotography.com/blog for future updates. Be sure to add me to your blog reader so you stay up to date on announcements and specials.
I want to say thank you to all the families, brides and grooms, and high school seniors I have worked with thus far. It has been you who has lead me down this amazing path and lead me to my destination.

Fall Family Session...
I have so much to say about this session. My son went to preschool with the little boy in this family. This family won a session that I donated to the preschool for a fundraiser. I'm so glad they did because when I see cute kids like theirs I secretly want to take their pictures anyway!!! WIN ~ WIN.
We were weather watchers getting ready for this session. I'm so glad that Mom was willing to give it a go because the weather was just fine! The location of this session is downtown Independence and it is one of my favorite spots for sure!
Jenny, these are just a few of my favorites from your session. You and your family were so fun to work with and I'm so glad that you guys won this session.

All sorts of cute....
Chase and Molly brought their Mom and Dad over for some family photos. I was sad that I wasn't able to show Chase our tractors, they were on another farm at the time. Next time Chase!
Chase and Molly remind me of my oldest two. They are so close in age, little boy and little girl and little blondie kids! Thanks Chase and Molly for coming out to my place....next time more play less pictures! : )

Before she went....
It is always great to get together with this family! This session was a little different because exciting things are happening for this family. Big sister is headed to college. Therefore, Mom was smart and booked a family session to document this time when all the kids were together before she goes.
Hang in there Mom! And good luck Quinlan! You are going to love college!

Happy 4th Birthday Annie!
Annie is turning four this month and she started the celebration with her very own photo shoot. Personally, I don't think that four year olds come cuter than this one. Annie's session took place at my house, thank you Erin and Jim for coming out. I am thrilled with these images of her in her birthday shirt! So sweet. Erin, please tell Jim thanks again for the ATV ride idea too! Genius!

Fantastic Session...
Last Saturday I met up with this cute family in Hillboro, Oregon. I had been to this location before and I loved the pretty light that it offers. I thought that it would work well for a family. Thank You Beasley's for being willing to reschedule when the weather didn't cooperate for our first session. I think we ended up with a perfect day.
Meredith reminded me how fast one year olds are and I loved trying to catch her being cute! Thanks again Beasley family!

Jack is ONE!
This is Jack. He just turned ONE!!! His Mom bid on a photo session that I donated to a fundraiser and she won! What a perfect chance to get some photos of Jack for his first birthday.
Jack was showing off how well he can stand up like a big boy and turned on the charm so I could grab a few of his cute grin!
Jack brought his big brothers too!
Thank you so much Dawn. You are such a great Mom and your boys are so sweet!

Frame it!
I believe I have mentioned this before but just in case you missed it. I am now a distributor for a frame company by the name of The Organic Bloom. I love, love, love their products. They come in every shape, size and color. It is so fun to look through the different frames and color combinations and design wall displays with your images.
I placed an order for some frames for my home so that I could see how they looked prior to helping any of my customers design wall collages with them. Well mine are arriving today. I'm so excited about it.
I have the prints all ready to go for them and the wall is ready to. Check back soon for an update of how it turned out. In the mean time check The Organic Bloom products found here. If you need pricing information please e-mail me at jspthedaisypatch@gmail.com
Check them out here: The Organic Bloom
Stay tuned...

Texas is warmer....
This little family is from Texas. Oregon was cold, windy and snowy on the day we scheduled our outdoor session. We decided when we got together that we would head back to my studio so we could be warmer. On this particular day it sure was nice to have the flexibility to change plans and go somewhere out of the elements.
Although I enjoy shooting outside, in the Northwest the weather doesn't allow it year round. It is really only nice about four months out of the year. Therefore, I love having a studio. I used to think that I would only shoot natural light images (only using the sun or window light as my main source of light). As I have progressed as a professional photographer I have come to realize I love studio work too! Why, because of images like this....
and this!
Everyone took their turn. I love this age! Such a good listener but had her own ideas too!
She really wanted to sit on my little bench. Little kids love my studio because there is so many fun things in there that are their size.
This young man reminds me of my oldest. So we got along just great!
This one is my favorite...Are you sure you are not a teenager?
And the whole gang all together...

Welcome to Baby Ben...
Congratulations to Kimber and Raymond on the birth of your beautiful son! Kimber, for a new Mom, you are so calm and relaxed. I'm so happy for you. Ben was SUCH a good boy during his session. He slept like a champ and I am thrilled that we were able to get a shot of him grinning in his sleep.
I say "we", because newborn sessions are special. Mom and photographer get to work together to get baby prepared for the session. It is so important to take your time and let baby get fed, changed, comfortable and sleepy. Kimber you are a natural and you did so good working with me and getting Ben comfy!

I would also like to thank my friend Kristin for making the little sock monkey hat for this session. And on short, short notice too. She makes all sorts of hats and can be found on FB at Knit Wit Hats. She is running a contest for a free hat right now. Check her out!
Now, on to the cuteness!!!!

Valentines...
I wanted to share some of the images from the Sweetheart Sessions that I ran last week. This group of four siblings came to my studio on Friday. Thanks again Amanda bringing them in!!!
During my sessions the camera is really secondary. Of course I do my best to encourage a child to sit in a way that is best for the light and there age. However, I really like to let my subjects take the lead. You get the best shots that way. Case in point...this pose and bit of flare was NOT prompted at all!!! Love that about you McKenna!

Sometimes a simple prop and some chit chat will bring out their personality. Aidan you look like a total rock star!!!
Although, this is not your classic ear to ear grin...I tend to favor these type of images. I must have my trigger finger ready because three year olds are fast. I think Miss Stella looks angelic in this one.
Even faster are this variety. She is the type that has to take the lead! However, when I asked her to give Mommy a kiss she came through with flying colors. Mwahhhhhh!!!!
Amanda, thanks so much for being a part of this promotion and sharing your kids with me!!!
